Preventing Caries in Children Using Pit & Fissure Sealants

One of the most common parenting struggle is to maintain their child’s oral hygiene.

Children are most likely to throw tantrum while brushing teeth hence, parents face many difficulty to get it done.

Consequences that may result from compromising daily brushing can increase the chances of developing caries.

These sealants are dental cements and are placed on polished tooth over pits and grooves. They also  release fluoride which helps to prevent tooth decay and also inhibits bacterial penetration. After sealant placement regular checkups should be performed on frequent intervals to have a better dental hygiene.
