Replacement of Metal Ceramic Crowns with Anterior Aesthetic Zirconia Crowns

A 29 year old male patient reported to the clinic to get his tooth caps replaced with any better aesthetic option as the previous one failed to satisfy his aesthetic concerns.
At the first appointment we thoroughly examined his oral cavity and the OPG X-ray to have a better idea on the condition of his tooth and associated structures.

- As the primary investigation showed good prognosis , previous caps were removed and further procedures were performed which included:
- Root canal treatment for abutment teeth followed by Tooth preparations to receive 15 unit zirconia covering 9 upper teeth and 6 lower teeth.
- Impressions were taken and CAD CAM intraoral scanning was performed by lab technicians to accurately register all the details.
- Temporary crowns were fixed on patient’s tooth during the waiting period (time to process the crown in lab).
- Fixation of zirconia crowns were done once they were ready .
Our patient is fully satisfied with his new teeth and the best aesthetic result. Now he no longer faces difficulty in chewing and is at ease to smile bright.
